Happy new year again. I wish you a healthy, exciting and wonderful 2022!

Visa problems for Iran, border closure of the Iranian land border, numerous Corona restrictions and the result of the further evaluation how to proceed with my way to Dubai has led to a heart breaking decision for now.

After a total of 3311 running kilometers in 79 days through 11 countries, I have decided to go back to Germany. This decision was far from being an easy one for me. We have racked our brains for days, planned routes, extensively researched and thought through the various options. But unfortunately I were now forced to take a break.

No worries, I will keep ongoing with my mission. The adventure will be continued as soon as it is possible for us to travel without restrictions again. Because even if some obstacles were put in our way, giving up is not an option for me! The children in need deserve that we continue with our support - run for help, run for health, run for fun - to get children back on their feet.

After 45 hours of driving from Istanbul we arrived back in Germany, healthy and safe and early enough to celebrate the 34th birthday of my son Christoph.
